Re: Whoohooo
We only found out last weekend, so we haven't even been to the doc yet.
What's funny is my brother's girlfriend got pregnant two months ago. It was around that time that we started trying.
Whoohoo...
Running out of steam. But i am very excited.
I just made the rounds yesterday, calling all the really close family.

Re: Whoohooo
went to the first doctor's appointment the other day and got some interesting news. Originally, we were told she was due in mid-may. After our first visit, we now have a new due date: April 10. Lucky me. I got through a whole month with a pregnant wife and didn't even have to do anything .
Any name suggestions? I like Noah Lawrence for a boy and Alayna Marie for a girl.

I like Alayna too but do you really want to put her through the trouble of having to spell it for everyone who asks "name please?"zoegirl wrote:how is the wife and baby?

Seriously it's a cool name. I like Alysa too.

Wife and baby are fine.
My ten-year-old isn't adjusting very well, though. Any advice on that?
Alayna is my wife's choice and it's kind of grown on me. I already feel like the baby is a girl, to be honest (we don't know yet).
Our first real appointment is 10/16 (one with a sonogram and all that). Hopefully we'll know then.

Yes i do. My name is Bryan and i am apparently the only one who spells it with a Y, so i had to correct people my whole life. It's gotten to when people ask me my name, i say "Bryan-with-a-Y" as if it is all one name.FFC wrote:I like Alayna too but do you really want to put her through the trouble of having to spell it for everyone who asks "name please?"

So you would name her that out of spite? Just kidding.Enigma7457 wrote:Wife and baby are fine.

Re: Whoohooo
My last name is liek that....immediatley I just start spelling it whenever I am asked for it...
I am constantly amazed at the number of ways names can be spelled...
In one class I have had a Megan, Meagan, and a Meghan. (or meaghan)
This year I have a Rebekah, Rebecca, and another Rebekah. Thankfully, they each like a different nickname.

Absolutely I plan on taking a lot of pent up aggression out on the world through my children.zoegirl wrote:So you would name her that out of spite? Just kidding.
Me too, like who would spell it Brian...zoegirl wrote:I am constantly amazed at the number of ways names can be spelled...
But reading through the baby name books really shows you the different spellings. It's really neat how some people will spell a name.
