Hello,
I have just a few questions, first off Im a non-christian but I guess I maybe a convince me otherwise case. My roommate is a Christan and some how when I have an opinion on things such as Evolution or the fact that Dinosaurs live millions of year ago....stuff like that I seem to be met with a brick wall. I guess it would be a bit of mis-education on my part but I just have a completely different view of the world I guess and I want to know how this so-called "God" fits in? It just feels as if Im living a carefree and good life from my view and I think Im a good person.
I guess my first question is why should I believe that the world is only 2007 years old?
and I guess is figured evolution was more of a theory then a fact, so why is it shot down so easily? and how do we know that Jesus or God is fact? Many good books have been written about good things that happened and have never been witnessed, so why is the bible held as a fact?
Thanks,
Brad

First, welcome to the board. Second, I really think you need to expand your circle of Christian friends as not all of us are of the same mindset. In fact this very website was created for that purpose, to provide a sound argument why GodandScience (pun intended ) are very much in harmony. Please read some of the articles posted on the main page and you'll see what I'm talking about then come back with questions if any.
Take care.
Let us proclaim the mystery of our faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.
Lord I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

Hi Brad.
Welcome to the board. I second Byblos' recommendation to read through some of the articles on the website. A good start would perhaps be the General Introduction for Non-Believers article.
It might also be good to take a look at the differing Christian positions regarding creation as not all agree. In particular the page at http://www.godandscience.org/apologetic ... odels.html might be a good place to start.
