Re: PLEASE PRAY FOR ME
I'm praying. All God asks of you is to be available when He calls you to do something. God knows your flaws and insecurities and is still big enough to use you despite them! Have faith and offer yourself to Him flaws and all. He will be happy and you will be in good company with all of us here. Amen?
Remember when Moses began to make excuses to God, when He wanted to send Moses to Egypt to talk to Pharoah? Moses told God that he couldn't speak elequently and was "slow of tongue"...he stuttered. God said who do you think made you that way? God does not need you to be perfect to use you. He just needs you to be available!

I will be praying for you also. FFC made some excellent points. Also remember "with God all things are possible". No matter how impossible things may seem, God will be there to help you. You won't be alone.
some things are better left unsaid, which i generally realize after i have said them

Re: PLEASE PRAY FOR ME
Just a little insight here... You will never appease God by doing good works. It is not possible. The only way to get around this is having faith in God. This is something you can't do yourself either, it's a walk...I.Love.Jesus wrote:NEW CHRISTIAN SOMEWHAT...ALWAYS BELIEVED IN JESUS...BUT IN THE LAST 9 MOS HE HAS STARTED WORKING IN MY LIFE LIKE NOTHING I HAVE EVERY EXPERIENCED...I LOVE GOD SO MUCH IT MOVES ME TO TEARS AND I AM SO AFRAID OF DISAPPOINTING HIM I AM STUCK...AFRAID TO DO ANYTHING FOR FEAR OF DOING THE WRONG THING...I NEED HELP...I NEED TO BE FREE FROM THIS SELF-DOUBT. Re: PLEASE PRAY FOR ME
Thank you so much for your kind responses. I am trying to learn everything I can about being a Christian. Letting go of "trying to fix things myself" has proven to be one of the hardest things I have ever done...or not done. I pray, I promise myself I'm not going to do it...and I do it... 9 months ago someone handed me a Bible...I was going through a hard time and they wrote something inside the cover for me that was just too much of a coincidence to be a coincidence. Something happened to me when they put that Bible in my hand. I read it in 3 months. I have watched sermons everyday since...so many other freaky things have happened it's just too much to write here....I am litterally not the same person. I had to reduce the number of daily Christian emails I was subscribed to because I was getting conflicting ideas that were confusing to me. Anyway, I did get one email that talked about grieving the Holy Spirit and it kind of spoke to me and I feel like I am doing that...anyone have any comments on that, that might help me understand more what exactly that means?
