Obsessive thinking
I mentioned in my testimony that sometimes I start fearing that I have committed the unforgivable sin as per Hebrews 6:4-6. I suffer from obsessive thinking and this has been bothering me lately. Please pray that I help get out of this rut. Thank you.

There are two things about the unforgiveable sin you should know.
1) If you are worried about it you definately have not committed it as if you had you wouldn't care.
2) If you believe in Jesus and the gospel then you definately have not committed it. In fact you are blessed as you had even less evidence than the pharissees had when Jesus accused them of commiting the unforgiveable sin.
The unforgiveable sin is an ongoing rejection of the salvation through Christ despite all that the Holy Spirit has revealed to you. In otherwords a true hardened militant athiest who is never going to change is mind has committed the unforgiveable sin. But the chances are that athiest doesn't give a monkeys . You obviously do so don't worry...be happy
God Bless

Re: Obsessive thinking
my apologies for not putting more in my response. I would echo Silvertusk. As much as I can help, I would say that you don't hVE TO eworry about that sin.
But I shall keep praying that you would receive that reassurance that you seek.
NOTHING can separate us from that love of God.

Re: Obsessive thinking
Thanks for the replies all. It's one of those things that I *know* I shouldn't have to worry about, because there are so many verses that offer salvation to ALL who seek it, but the way my mind works, it's kind of hard for me to internalize it because I keep asking those "what if" questions, if that makes sense. With prayer and trust, I'm hoping to resume walking calmly with God.
