"If the answer to these types of things is in the Hebrew, then why
didn't the Jews recognize their Messiah?"
The reason the Jews did not recognize the Messiah is because they
refused to see that first he must come as a Savior.
They discounted that part of prophecy, because they wanted someone to
come rescue them and make them the rulers of the world.
Even from the times of Moses and the law they refused to worship God
first. Then to reach out into the gentile world and teach the truths of
the One True God, and convert the gentiles to God.
Today the Christian world is doing much the same thing. They are
looking for someone to jerk them out of this world and put them in
pretty white robes and place them on fluffy clouds playing harps and
eating Philadelphia cream cheese deserts.
Follow the course of events Jesus outlined. That Paul outlined!
Prepare physically, emotionally, but most important spiritually! For
the days ahead.
