Recent suicide tragedy

A friend of ours has recently just this Saturday gone had a tragedy.
His name is Dean. His wife Louise has killed herself.
They have two young children aged 6 and 10. Lousie had struggled with
depression for years. We just saw them all on Friday when all our kids
attended a musical showcase at Frankston Arts Centre. She looked happy
but underneath she was lost and dark. The next day she was gone. Its a
shock to many people. Please pray for Dean and the children. That
thier grief would run its proper course and that through this they
would one day see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am not even
sure what to pray for.
Louises mum and dad lost a son to cancer ten or so years ago. Pray for
them too.
Hard to believe.

That is so so awful. It's hard to believe a mom would do that, but I'm not judging. When you get so depressed, you're not thinking right. It's just so tragic. I'll pray for everyone in the family.

I'm so sorry, we have had a few suicides in our school families, Its affects are just so ... different that other deaths. Absolutely will be praying

The husband, Dean is a Police man and they look after thier own. He and the children are having counsellors in.
The funeral maybe in a weeks time if they release the body.
Dean has not had time to grieve as he has been inundated with calls and visitors. I pray his grieving begins.
I pray he searches for the Lord as he is not a man of faith.
Friends of mine have been there with him and they debreifed with us a few days ago. They are tired and emotional as you would expect. I worry for the children over the years to come especially that they saw thier mother dead.
Pray for the sisters and brothers of the family and that through this tragedy lives will change for the better and people would seek answers through the right source being Jesus Christ.

Hi everyone

Thanks for your prayers. We had the funeral yesterday and it went well considering.
I spoke with my mate a few days earlier and was able to speak about the gospel and God in general. He has a basic faith but still has not given his life. The wife who killed herself may have as she was Catholic and over the years we had many philisophical discussions. Its between her and God now.
Pray for the kids that they would come to faith and that the husband does too. God clearly has His hands on them.
