Gone for a week or so

Post by Jac3510 »

Well I'm not going to be around for a week or so. I'm going to spend some time away from the world, to regather my thoughts before the new semester starts and all that. The major trajedy in my life is that my gf and I just split. Yeah, big deal, I know :p But I love her, and while I've had breakups before, this one is by far the hardest.

Anyway, I know I'll be ok. I mean, what choice do you have, you know? You take your next breath and wait for the minutes to pass by until it stops hurting so much. And it will. It's just a matter of getting through this next week. I don't really know what to pray for, to be honest. I don't know what I'm supposed to say to God or about Him beyond the spiritual cliches, because in two months, I'll be over it. Yeah, I'll miss her, but life will be back to normal. In the meantime, though, well . . . you know what I mean.

Anyway, like I said, I've got to regather my thoughts anyway. I've not had a vacation in awhile, so I guess this is a good time to take one. I'll be on the beach, just me and God.

God bless

And that, brothers and sisters, is the kind of foolishness you get people who insist on denying biblical theism. A good illustration of any as the length people will go to avoid acknowledging basic truths.

Jac, you are in my prayers.

I've been where you are right now a couple of times in the last decade and I was completely devastated. You're right, spiritual cliche's help little. The only thing that helped me was clinging desperately to God and crying out for his peace. I don't think I was ever that close to God than during those times of emotional distress. You are doing the right thing. Things will get better even though at times you don't know how.

Hang in there

Much appreciated . . . unforseen cicumstances have forced me to stay home this week, but I suppose that's just as well. It's funny the range of emotions a person can go through in just a matter of hours, back and forth, and back and forth . . . :p

Thanks again.

Prayers are going up for you.

Keep your thoughts aiming on high Jac. Things will get better; you gotta believe that. You're in my prayers.
Let us proclaim the mystery of our faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.

Lord I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

Jac, I'm sure the other older guys can attest to the same, things always happen for a purpose. That does not mean to say that it does not hurt to lose a girlfriend you really care about. However, I think you do understand there is a purpose behind everything. Matches are made in heaven, so if you were meant to be together, you will be.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

God bless.

JAC,

I see your post was in 2006. I just joined and have been reading post throughout the web site. I know you you feel or felt at the time. The same thing just happened
to me. I'm not much at prayer as yet, but I hope things have worked out for you.
