Unexpected Expectations: updated

Post by Jac3510 »

So I think I told you guys that I got married this past December. Well, just thought I'd let you all know that we are already expecting! We are very shocked, but, of course, very thrilled. This was not a part of our plan, but as I told Gretchen, "Sometimes, God laughs at our plans."

If it is a boy, he will be named Josiah Christopher; if a girl, Josephine Corbett.

Wow. Congratulations!

It took me quite a while to get pregnant. And then I fell in love with my son after seeing him (after I was no longer on drugs from the c-section, that is). It's amazing.

Are you going to find out was sex he/she is beforehand, or wait to find out?

Most wonderful news Jac, congratulations. You think this was a shock? Wait 'til the hormones kick in. Your wife won't know what to do with you .

Many thanks, all. We are so very excited :D

csl - we are going to find out ASAP. I'm not really into surprises, believe it or not! Besides . . . we have to know whether to buy blue or pink stuff. I am very much looking forward to holding him/her for the first time. Pretty much everybody tells me the same thing - how that is a life changing moment.

Canuck - honestly, I couldn't agree more. We wanted to wait until she got done with college, but in reality, neither of us would have it any other way. God is kinda cool like that.

BW - Thanks much, too. I've always wanted a family, so this is a dream come true for me. I'm still in a bit of a daze, but definitely a dream come true.

Byblos - I think those hormones started kicking in this week. PRAY FOR ME!!! Actually, she just started the whole cravings thing, too. She said she thought that was all a bunch of whining until she actually started having them. Believe it or not, she sent me out for a particular water filter the other day because she didn't like the way ours tasted out of the faucet . . . now THAT'S an odd craving! :pound:

CE - My uncle asked me a similar question. He said, "You know there are ways of preventing that, right?" to which I replied, "Uhm . . . I thought we were?!?" I guess that is what we get for using $9/mo stuff!

K - WINE IS BAD FOR THE BABY!!!

j/k. Thanks, again.

Funny, I started on this site what how many years ago . . . six or so? And here I am married and having kids. Talk about growing up. Thanks again, all. You all rock. :D
