Re: Mother with brain tumor
Imagine if they had lost their jobs before the diagnosis and were without medical insurance. I'm really glad for them they have it. But there are 47 million Americans without it and many of them have serious medical problems. My next door neighbor is one of them. She is dying of terminal cancer which could have been treated and not been terminal she was told had there been some kind of program for her. Only when she became pregnant did she qualify for benefits but by then it was too late to save her. She will die in a few years and her child will grow up without a mother. At least the boy will have a father. You can pray for her too if you think it will help. Her name is Ilsa and she is a Jewish convert to Christianity. Her husband's name is James and their child is Jacob.

It's so weird that I posted here, or so I thought . . . I must've clicked the wrong "button." I really don't think they have insurance. It's possible that they qualify for some state or federal coverage. I think there is a law here saying that people have to be treated if they go to an emergency room (that's why some have closed . . . ). But I should make sure of all that . . . I'm beginning to forget the details of the law here.
That's awful about that family - I'll pray for them.

Re: Mother with brain tumor
Well, I just got an email from Lydia's brother. He says a lot of bad things about Willian in it, saying that he keeps getting Lydia pregnant for the benefits that it brings, and that he quits his job after each baby is born. He says that Lydia is sleeping all the time and is concerned that she'll not even survive this pregnancy. Lydia's brother is a Christian, and he sent this letter to the pastors, too. What a mess. Obviously, Lydia and the children need prayer, and the whole situation needs prayer, no matter where the truth exactly lies. Thanks.

If she goes to the emergency room without insurance or the money to pay for it, then she will be aggressively pursued by credit agencies for years and her credit will be ruined. I hate to see it but a lot of poor women get pregnant to get medical insurance and relief. In Los Angeles, for example, there are about 400,000 African Americans with about 70% of black children there brought up in single parent homes.cslewislover wrote:Well, I just got an email from Lydia's brother. Same here.jlay wrote:Yes, I agree, in Jesus name.
Lord as a testament to you and who you are - help this couple through this time and find a job for William. Pour out some financial aid for them as well and provide their needs so none in this family turn bitter toward you. Turn this around for your name sake as that testemant to you. Lydia has seizure issues and please spare her of these - making them cease. She has young ones and you said let nothing hinder the little ones coming to you so please do not let these continued tragedies and times of crushing despair strike this family causing any to stray - lead them all closer to you for the sake of the little ones. Break what ever yoke and bondage that is over this family as your testament to them in Jesus name we pray - Amen
