Trust me.. This is FAR more exciting than chasing UFO's, bigfoot, careers, shopping, video games, TV, stock market, football, clothing, and the likes.

Sorry, I thought I'd lighten up the mood a little. But I can see where both you and Age are coming from, really. My wife and I are hitting an extremely rough patch as of late but I thank God every day for his grace. Yet my ungrateful, sinful self can't help but wonder sometimes why we should be going through this to begin with.

I think it's because the people in charge made a lot of really bad decisions and we are paying the consequences of them. As for why us? Why not us? Tragedy is impartial. I've looked into a wealthy dying man's eyes and a poor dying man's eyes. Now I look in the mirror. Except for their color, they look pretty much the same to me. At least in this country, we have but ourselves to blame (or to thank) for putting the people in charge in charge. I do agree with you, though; why not us. I tend to suppress the part of me that wants to question that, but it's not easy.
