Olympics
It's always so neat to see the Parade of Nations at the Olympics and it's nice as well to think of everyone here who are from the different nations, from New Zealand, Australia, Great Britain, Canada, and more!!
Cheers to you and the other Nations but must say
GO USA!!!!

Can't stand the olympics. Minority sports for second-rate athletes. Yuck. Sorry Zoe.

Re: Olympics
I do love the fact that the commonwealth nations come together, and I shouldn't really call prime athletes "second-rate," but the sports are surely minority and utterly irrelevent to our lives? Hugs-zoegirl wrote:Booo...hisss

haha. Bart, this reminds me of these adverts we used to have in the UK featuring monkeys advertising PG TIPS teabags. Take a look at this from 1971...Canuckster1127 wrote:Surely you're not speaking about HOCKEY!?!?!?!?!sports are surely minority and utterly irrelevent to our lives

It's strange...the summer games get all the prestige, but just about every sport in the winter games looks so graceful. Utterly fantastic viewing, even if you don't understand the sports!

Gotcha! For a second I thought you were dissing American football (the game sent from the depths of hell, if you wish). But I see what you're saying, I grew up playing soccer. My favorite number is not 10 for nothin' (yes, that 10, the Brazilian legend ).DannyM wrote:I surely did brother! It's all about the beautiful game, sent from the heavens if you please
