Ah Pink Floyd. I saw Roger Waters perform in London a couple of years ago. He did a set of a mix of some Floyd songs and some of his own, but finished by playing the whole of Dark Side and for an encore Comfortably Numb. Brilliant.

Pink Floyd is one of the BEST bands out there. And The Wall? They are in a class all by themselves.. Can't touch it. :shock:

Did you ever come across any of Syd Barrett's solo stuff? Or anything by Nick Drake or John Martyn?

Yes. A bit, although I lean toward Roger Water's music.. That guy is the most brilliant of the bunch I believe.

Personally I think it's Gilmour - the guitar intro on Shine On bowled me over the first time I heard it.
Waters adds that theatrical touch though, and the brilliant lyrics. I don't think Pink Floyd would be worth mentioning if either of them were missing from the line up though.

Absolutely Tc! We used to go to acid house parties-- used to by our smiley-face t-shirts etc from Ealing market! That was about '89 I think. "We call it acieeeed" :ewink:
