It is stressful, no doubt. But hopefully my situation will improve soon.

I will also keep you in my prayers for a job.
Acts 17:24-25 (NIV)
"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. [25] And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else."

Thanks! Have you checked Craig's List for jobs? I just started doing that - there are many posted there.

I just applied and have an interview set up (for Monday) for a job in a church office - I found that listing in Craig's List. I hope very much to get this job, since it sounds really great and I very much need a job now. If God is in it, then it's all good! So please pray for my, anyone! (Nathaniel's job situation is up in the air too, so prayers for him and his situation would be very highly appreciated!) How is it going August?

Hi CSL, I hope the interview went well. Thanks for your continued interest and prayers.

It has been an extremely busy time for, hence my absence from discussions here. I will be spending another 60 days or so trying to get a consulting business off the ground along with a partner, and if that seems like it won't work out, I will start looking for a job seriously.

Just as an FYI, the company I work with was just featured in Business Week for strength and hiring in the consulting market.

Prayers for both of you CSL and August!

At the end of January I too lost my job and decided to stop working to reinvest time in mine and my wife's web development business (and also visit these forums more often!). However, I am finding it is quite difficult running it from home with kids. We have an idea we think will work with local businesses, and have invested quite a bit of time organising and preparing and are about to trial it, so please pray it goes well. If it doesn't I'll be extremely saddened. I felt this is the direction God was pushing me towards, but you never know 100% what God has planned.

Oh, please also pray for my brother. He has been living off credit the past few months, and also needs a good job. And one that he remains happy in.

To complicate things, I really want to setup our business downstairs as it has much more space and better to have clients come around. So I need to reclaim downstairs, which means he has to move out. I really don't want to push until he has a job, but it makes things that much harder to organise...

Thanks Scott, and I will pray for you and your brother!

Please continue to pray for me. I don't think I got that one job. They liked me very much, and I was excited about that one, but I'm overqualified. Ugh! I just need a job where I can deal with things and life, lol, I don't want a career related to my past degrees. They look at my degrees and my past work experience, and then they just look at other people, LOL. But, my last job was in an unrelated field - legal - and I'd like a related job, actually. It seems like that might be an option for me. Thanks so much!!
