Re: Canada wins hockey gold!
And Danny, the answer to your question is that Great Britain didn't send a Hockey team to this year's olympics. There are qualifying rounds based on other international play and not every country sends a team.
Great Britain was a pretty strong presence in international hockey in the early 20th century but hasn't been as strong recently.
They still play a pretty mean game of football (soccer) though.

So what was up with those giant blow up beavers and mounties at the closing ceremonies? I would hate to be pulled over by one of those guys..

Re: Canada wins hockey gold!
Thanks Bart. What about the game of hockey not played on ice- grass hockey? Non-ice hockey? We had a great team one year and our main man was Shaun Curley? I remember GB being good at THAT...Canuckster1127 wrote:And Danny, the answer to your question is that Great Britain didn't send a Hockey team to this year's olympics.
