Wisdom

Post by August »

The best wisdom of men is foolishness at best. Including mine...I am horrified at some of the things I said in the past, and thinking at the time I was being very clever.

The wisdom of the Lord is the only wisdom. Pro 2:6 For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
Acts 17:24-25 (NIV)
"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. [25] And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else."

Me too.

There's something to be said for answering at times, "I don't know."

Good word. Thanks!
Dogmatism is the comfortable intellectual framework of self-righteousness. Self-righteousness is more decadent than the worst sexual sin. ~ Dan Allender

Absolutely. We do not have wisdom. One can be a profound thinker, but God would impart wisdom.
