Curiosity question

Post by Manfer84 »

I was reading a thread about Obama and abortion, and a question (not related to the thread) comes to mind.
Before a person is born, where is his soul? Is it created at the conception or does God have a little “soul” storage facility in heaven? More to the point, are we in heaven before we are born or we just don't exist in any sense before conception?
I don't remember reading about it from the Bible so maybe someone can tell what the Christian stand on this is.

To my understanding a soul is created at conception. We did not pre-exist in any form before that.
Let us proclaim the mystery of our faith: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.

Lord I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

In a way you really answered the question yourself.

You said, "Before a person is born,......"

"I'm not saying scientists don't overstate their results. They do. And it's understandable, too...If you spend years working toward a certain goal and make no progress, of course you are going to spin your results in a positive light." Ivellious
