weary
This may sound like a ridiculous prayer...but this time of the year always gets me down. Between physical exhaustion, emotional exhaustion, and spiritual exhaustion, losing seniors that you have known 4 years, getting snippy and annoyed at fellow teachers, I am very, very weary. It's been that kind of day where everyone annoys you, you know? And it's hard when you know that there isn't anything really to your emotions but they are still there.
Even if it's just a couple of seconds in your prayers, please pray for energy for the rest of the year...

Even Jesus had the same feelings you expressed - he went to a quiet area to rest and become refreshed!
Likewise you will too!

Re: weary
thanks so much, guys....it's nice sometimes to be forced to take a day off and my Remicade will do that....Finishing up senior grades...Didn't have to have Benadryl for in infusion...and still have the rest of the night for some more solitude and distance from school...
thanks Silvertusk...you certainly have your share of burdens, albeit delightful burden right now!!!
When does school end for you?

Re: weary
I finish at the end of next week for half term - but that is followed nicely by two weeks of paternity leave for me - so that will be bliss. And then it will be four weeks back then a six week summer holiday. Can't wait.

Three best reasons for teaching? June July and August? It's more like 8 weeks off but still very nice I will agree...

I hope things are better with you, prayers sent. Remember that you will now have the chance to build more relationships with new students over the next four years. Just think of all the lives you have touched and changed.
Once I was trapped in a perpetual night, without even a star to light the sky. Now I stand in the glory of the Son, and not even a faint shadow of darkness remains.
