Is this really the type of "christian" we want leading us? Once again I'll say that oblister is in because in the least, God allowed him there. But it appeases me that in the same way, the Pharoah of Egypt was also a tool of God.
Is the gay agenda really every Christian's only point of being duped?

.
Again.. I would say that I was duped on a person who would support the gay agenda.. But as for upholding the Christian values, show me a recent president that has ever walked that line?

For the record.. Gman was probably a dunce for voting for Obama. At the time it seemed like a good idea. But now, I see that I might have made a goof... That being bowing to the liberal left and all..
Next time I'm probably voting independent.

My wife rarely posts here, but one of your old Obama election discussions got her posting.

That article is enough for me. Obama is a Christian for sure. I also believe that Obama is a member of the PGA as well.

Interesting little fact about that church going of Obama...it was only the third time in a year that he had gone, and it happened on the same day that that specific church had a Muslim speaker: http://www.thepostemail.com/2010/09/20/ ... m-speaker/
Acts 17:24-25 (NIV)
"The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. [25] And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else."
So how is the issue of Obama being a Muslim seen on a social level in the US?
I was talking to my brother over here about it, and he reacted negatively when I made mere mention of Obama being Muslim.
Let me first say that my brother is quite taken by liberal social views. He seems to think its your "nut-case American evangelical Christian" (his words) who believes such things, and that they are thing are often joked about on television and in the media.
How many here sincerely believe Obama is Muslim, and is there any real merit? At the end of the day, from here in Australia, I just see more of an Atheistic worldview than any particular religious affiliation.
I don't believe he's a Muslim. It's a very symbolically and emotionally loaded charge however and the same crowd that was willing to believe he wasn't born in the US doesn't need any reason to believe other than they don't like him. I think it's a sad commentary on our society, but then there's ample history throughout American history of nasty politics and similar charges being trotted out from all major political positions.

My opinion is that because he essentially grew up Muslim, he has a much more sympathetic view towards Muslims than most Americans. That is probably being mistaken for actually being Muslim. Around 20-25% of Americans, depending on which poll you want to believe, believes that he is Muslim.
I agree that he probably not a hardcore atheist, but some kind of spiritualist agnostic or universalist.
So Bart, do you have conclusive proof that he was born in the USA?

Remember, Obama was born to a Muslim Father. That makes him Muslim by birth. Obama could be killed in some countries for renouncing the Muslim faith. While he may no longer be a Muslim, one can certainly make a case that he is a crusader for Islam, given his track record, especially with regards to Israel. What do people see from Obama that leads them to believe that he is Muslim? Is everyone just a right-wing-evangelical-whacko-Christian that doesn't like Obama? I think people are starting to see him for what he is.

Bart, I have no political affiliation, and I can see that Obama has more than just sympathy for the cause of Islam. I can't speak for the "right-wing loonies" that do have a political agenda, but I certainly don't. I just call em like I see em.
