"But I don't get it. Is lust just inherently evil? How?"

Because it detracts from what could be a much more beautiful situation in a human life. Rather than seeing women and our bodies as objects for pleasure, we can direct our attention on real loving relationships where sexuality has a much more profound meaning. It's bad because you're missing out on something so much more significant.

Exactly Short..

Masturbation equals loneliness and a tremendous amount of subconscious guilt. Sex with your wife is to be a joyous thing...

So if you desire masturbation or pornography by yourself, then you will forever be trapped by loneliness, greed, guilt, and despair. You cannot progress until you learn from these simple mistakes.. Trust me.

About a month for me although I think that age may be a factor here.. After that it will still be there, but you can greatly diminish it by controlling your mind. And feeling better and more confident about yourself and life.. :P

So wait... when did you beat this thing ? And after a month ( lets just say its gonna take that long for me too) is it just gonna increase you mental ability to control the urge? :P

Technically you really can't beat it. Well maybe perhaps, I never have. It's all about channeling. You channel your sexual desires towards your wife..

But yes, you can diminish it to where it will have no effect on you. Your body still craves the effect after you stop, but then learns to live without it. But no, not completely... But yes, you CAN control it!! That's the good news.. :P

You just have to get to the point where you realize that it is wrong for you to do.. That's about it. Renew your mind Romans 12:2.

Ohhh i get it now ! That's good ( phew) ! :P What about this tho :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nocturnal_emission >> Frequency - The frequency of nocturnal emissions is highly variable. Some men have experienced large numbers of nocturnal emissions as teenagers, while others have never experienced one. 83% of men in the United States will experience nocturnal emissions at some time in their life.[2] For males who have experienced nocturnal emissions the mean frequency ranges from 0.36 times per week for single fifteen-year-old males to 0.18 times per week for forty-year-old single males. For married males the mean ranges from 0.23 times per week for nineteen-year-old married males to 0.15 times per week for fifty-year-old married males.[3] In some parts of the world nocturnal emissions are more common. For example in Indonesia surveys show that 97% of men experience nocturnal emissions by the age of twenty four.[4]

Sooo after this would happen wouldn't you sexual desires go down again for a while?

A lot of it is how you are wired, but also what you put or allow in your mind..

What is wrong with lust, I think about 21% of marriages end because of addiction to porn, and most people in the porn industry are on drugs, and need God in the worst way! Read about King David and Bathsheba. Believe me I know from personal experience the harm that lust and porn can do to you. The most important thing is that you are back, a few years without talking to God seems like an eternity. Now that you are back let Jesus fight you battle with lust.
