Casey Anthony trial verdict

Post by cubeus19 »

Are we not witnessing the beginning of the end to our justice system or are we not witnessing the beginning of the end to our justice system? Thoughts?

I think we are witnessing the end of the end of our justice system. The beginning of the end started long ago.

Because of this case? Yawn.

This case was entirely circumstantial. No eyewitnesses. No cause of death. The prosecution chose to prosecute as a 1st degree murder, when there was really no way to do so.
If your evidence is circumstantial then the defense must only present circumstantial reasons for doubt. It doesn't matter what we think happened. What you think isn't evidence.

I think the system worked like it was supposed to work. The prosecution didn't prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt. Blame the prosecutors, not the system.

Now Casey can write a book and admit everything that happened, and she can't be prosecuted.

I agree with the above two posts. She may very well be guilty, but from what I've read there wasn't nearly enough evidence to convict someone on the evidence given. Too much conjecture and not enough hard facts in crucial areas, no motive provided, etc.
