Rose, I'm not "many men". I don't
believe men are Intellectually superior to women. I
know men are.(also a joke)
(My smilie winked at you. Please don't read into that too)
Why are all your jokes directed at women?
Really? My jokes go with the thread they're in. My jokes refer to all different people. I even use self deprecating humor, too.
Rose, if you check out the humor and jokes section, you'll see that I have a pretty diverse range for my jokes.
Okay, I believe you...it just struck me as being in very poor taste considering the topic of this thread.
All is forgiven
-
Rose, have you even thought that my joke struck you as being in poor taste because you are overly sensitive towards this? And, not because it actually was in poor taste?
When you said, "All is forgiven", what exactly are you forgiving me for?
I'm surprised I have to keep repeating why I thought your jokes were in poor taste, but here it goes again. As I pointed out in my first post to you, your #1 reason was actually not a joke because generally men are physically stronger and more aggressive than women, thus that is one of the reasons they dominate women. Now, your #2 reason was totally fallacious, because men are NOT intellectually superior to woman though many men believe they are, which is one of the reasons men deny women equal opportunities. What your joking did was mix truth with fiction concerning a very sensitive subject for many women because of the abuse they suffer at the hands of men, as I pointed out in the article and video I linked to. Joking has its place, but this time it seems like it was being used to detract from a very serious issue.
My "All is forgiven" statement was said in a lighthearted "joking" way which I thought was your style?
Who's being overly sensitive now?
-
Ok, fair enough. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Rick, just knowing that YOU are married kinda makes me rethink my take on the whole predestination and free will issue - as to believe that a woman exists who FREELY signed up to join your demented clown show
- well, it just kinda boggles one's mind.
Truly, she most certainly must have been
predestined to her scary fate.
Why else? It just doesn't make any sense.

Philip, she really had no choice but to marry me. I just used my male domination skills, and told her what was up. Philip, hold on a minute, she's calling me...what's that Dear? yes, Dear, I'll be right there to massage your feet, Dear. I guess she's not buying into this whole "male domination" thing.

Rick said: "I guess she's not buying into this whole "male domination" thing."
Mine, either, Rick! I think I overheard her one day telling someone that "the trick is, I just let Philip
THINK he's the boss, and so then I merely suggest things in such a way as that he always
thinks they were his ideas to begin with."
Little does she know that I am on to her little game, always cleverly anticipating her every devious little move, and that I only agree to whatever it was that I actually wanted to do in the first place, and so I just act like
she convinced
me. That she thinks it's always
her idea, all the better. Uh-oh,
but what if maybe she is the one that is anticipating that I am already anticipating, and thus she plots accordingly, and then ... Uh, er, is this beginning to sound like a script from an episode of "Everyone Loves Raymond?"
(which is a VERY dangerous show to watch with my wife - as it's a bit too realistic for comfort.
).
Truth is, I am
extremely fortunate that she had a momentary lapse in reason and actually said, "I do!" So (thankfully) it's too late now!

Furstentum Liechtenstein, please do school us on your technique - as apparently we are doing something terribly wrong!
And thus need all the pointers we can get.

"All history attests that man has subjected
Woman to his will, used her as a means to
Promote his selfish gratification, to
Minister to his sensual pleasures, to be
Instrumental in promoting his comfort; but never
Has he desired to elevate her to that rank she was created to fill.
He has done all he could
To debase and enslave her mind;
And now he looks triumphantly on the ruin
He has wrought, and say, the being he has
Thus deeply injured is his inferior” ~ A.K.

I have no idea if the author of this poem is a man or woman, but sad to say the words ring true.

Rather insulting to all men, like us Rick, who never did what the poem says but it is just a poem and there is free speech and a right to vent in this country so in that regard a poem from a sadly abused heart.
The kind of heart that Jesus died to Heal…

I agree, the author was a bit too inclusive. I have know many men who are feminists just like me.

Christianity has lifted woman to a new place in the world.
Her glory is the esteem of her husband.
Her pleasure the happiness of her family. -Rousseau
Rousseau is a better poet than Butterfly's poet, ''A.K.'' ...Far more accurate, too. A.K. must be a revisionist historian-poet from the Soviet Union.

A woman's glory should be whatever she wishes it to be, and her pleasure and happiness as well...just like it is for men.
