why can't you see your error? You advocate praying to Jesus. But praying to anyone but God is idolatry. Your jesus is not God, so you are an idolater. If you advocate praying to Jesus, it must be the Jesus who is God. Nowhere in the bible does it support praying to anyone but God. And Jesus is God. You are digging yourself deeper and deeper into a hole. Get out now before it's too late.
Jesus actually "advocates" this... John 14:14 I simply agree!!

Johnny, please stop digging yourself deeper. http://carm.org/bible-verses-show-jesus-divine
Were these verses 500 years after Jesus' incarnation? Please pray for God to open your eyes. You are blinded by your false belief.

John 8:36 “So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

1stJohnny, the Son is the incarnate God, Jesus Christ. Your "non divine" jesus will not make you free.

Paul wrote in the same generation of Jesus time and it is clear in his writings that He viewed Jesus as having the same nature, form even, as God.
The GOJ proclaims Jesus' divinity in a very explict manner.

My Jesus is divine Luke 1:35

John, you are soooo close, yet so far away. :brick: :stars:

John, your meaning of divine is different than "Jesus is God".

di·vine
/diˈvÄ«n/
Adjective
Of, from, or like God or a god.

Your jesus who is from God but not God Himself, is still a false jesus who cannot save.

Did Jesus say Peter was incorrect at his answer to who Jesus was? Matt 16:16
Jesus is NOT God himself, unless you teach the "oneness doctrine"

An exalted mortal man who is the son of God sitting at the right hand of his Father.

I think you need to re-read what you just wrote.
How can the begotten Son of God that is resurrected be mortal ?? how can that person, Christ, claim to the the first and the last? to be the divine Word of God and be mortal ?

First of all you have a presupposition that Jesus is God.
Begotten means that someone became a son and someone became a father! Psalm 2:7 "Today I have begotten thee" Luke 1:35
For Jesus to "really" die, he had to be mortal. Mortal means one CAN die. Scripture says "Who only hath immortality dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto whom no man hath seen nor can see to whom be honor and power everlasting Amen"
Note: "no man hath seen" in this text. People have seen Christ. This tells me It is the one true God!! and NOT Jesus
If Jesus was immortal before dying he could not have been resurrected from the dead
I have a nice passage from our early church fathers advocating this simple truth!!

SO did Paul and John and the apostolic fathers, your point?
Begotten means that someone became a son and someone became a father! Psalm 2:7 "Today I have begotten thee" Luke 1:35
Don't confuse the theological begotten in Pslams with the physical begotten in the GOJ, there is a reason that John says "only begotten son" even though he is aware of Psalm 2:7
For Jesus to "really" die, he had to be mortal. Mortal means one CAN die. Scripture says "Who only hath immortality dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto whom no man hath seen nor can see to whom be honor and power everlasting Amen"
No one is arguing Jesus' human nature when He was here with us.
Note: "no man hath seen" in this text. People have seen Christ. This tells me It is the one true God!! and NOT Jesus
That is just plainly silly because the passage says that Jesus is the one the reveals Him so of course we can see Christ.
If Jesus was immortal before dying he could not have been resurrected from the dead
I have a nice passage from our early church fathers advocating this simple truth!!
Now, who on earth told you that Jesus was immortal when He was here in the flesh ??

That doesn't even make any sense in the context that it is spoken in Revelation.
