It seemed to me that the first and some of the second season with tennant wasn't as inclined to simply be a miracle worker but they certainly seemed to go that way.

It was never the storylines that captured me (inasmuch as he was the "iracleworker")....I just liked the quirkiness of tennant's Doctor. In fact, much of the storylines contained weird spiritual overtones that were just bizarre....imagery of more of a deity than he should have.

I have seen the previous Doctor's and I know what you mean.

The BBC America premier of DR Who was excellent! What I like about Dr Who from way back in the 1960's to now is how each Dr has his own eccentric zaniness. The new Doctor reminds me of a mix the 2nd Doctor (Patrick Troughtons - eccentricness), third Doctor (Jon Prertwee - spur of moment reasoning), and the forth (Tom Baker's - flare) with a little more hyper zaniness added in.

Matt Smith will do well as the new Doctor!

Great show...

Was that fish and Custard he was eating?

oK, WATCHING THE new doctor who right now....I'm liking the new doctor....and I changed my mind about the theme song!!

The new Doctor seems much more aggressive than DAvid Tennant's Doctor....

More physical maybe, I don't know about aggressive! Also there is less deus ex machina endings to episodes its seems! Who likes that kind of insult anyway?

I guess I was thinking about the ending "Basically....run!"...very much the noble and staunch hero and less the tragic hero than the previous Doctor. I guess the last transformation started out that way. I remember liking the way Tennant's Doctor started and really disliked how emotion he became towards the end....

Actually if you watched older doctor who's you would notice that his regeneration is similar to the 5th>6th doctors one, delayed that is.

What do you mean delayed? (I actually haven't seen the last episode of Tennant....weird I know but somehow I missed it)

I don't mind spoilers...so what do you mean?

I mean he tried to delay it as long as possible until it happened, they can do that apparently if they don't want to die. The results of such a regeneration are awesome, the 6th doctor tried to kill his companion just after regeneration, he was totally mad! :D

SO the weeping angels are definitely the spookiest creepy bad guys....

But "there's one thing that you never ever put in a trap......me"

Awesome line to end with....

I am really liking this new Doctor....

But I definitely not really liking the plot line where he is married....maybe I am irritated at her but that's just a bizarre story arc
