My mom has bad colitis problems. She was taking something new called Remicaid (sp?), but it made her feel worse than she did to begin with. Mainly she just stays on a real bland diet. I will remember to pray for you since I also pray for her every day. y[-o<

Just an update and continued request. I am not responding to my current meds and cannot go off steroids without the colitis relapsing (on four of them...oy).

WE are starting the steps to go on remicade. (sp?)

Pray for God to use this medication.

It really is frustrating to deal with chronic conditions (10 years now). You give up on praying for healing, you know? And I don't know if that is a reflection of maturity (God's grace is sufficient...) or doubt or a combination of both (can that be cosidered a valid combination??!!? :esurprised: )

You impress me: so young and dealing with a difficult health problem for 10 years.

I'm not that strong.

You are back in my prayers.

THank you, FL, but any grace IS from God. There have been MANY MANY times that I have been in tears over this. :verymad:

It is quite an embarassing disease. To always wonder, ANYWHERE you go, "ok, where's the bathroom" .... :esurprised:

Ahhh, the joys of a sigmoidoscopy.... all of the discomfort of a colonoscopy (had three) but without the lovely anethesia. And I am enough of a geek to want to look at the monitor :D

But that lovely procedure confirmed that we are going to start Remicade.

Yes, you are right, any grace is from God. First, I pray that He will take this problem away from you; then... I pray that He will give you what you need to handle this should He choose to leave you with the problem.

Well...it is nice to see that you keep your sense of humor through all this. You are blessed.

Hey all, I wanted to thank you all for your prayers and let you know that praises are in order.

The medicine is working and working really well. I go in every 8 weeks for infusions (although I hope t get it down to 7 weeks, that's when my symptoms seem to flare up again).

Keep praying that GOd uses this medication to keep my colitis in remission.

On another note. Please pray for one of my students who has a degenerative muscular disease. Please pray for healing and for strength.
