Evidence for God from Science

that being the old saying that says something to the effect, "If you want to remain friends or civil with someone, never discuss politics or religion."...I'm not sure of the exact wording.

I'm kind of the opposite, I tell people that we would be fools to argue religion, and we would more of a fool if we didn't know what OUR government is doing TO us instead of FOR us.
