Gotcha! For a second I thought you were dissing American football (the game sent from the depths of hell, if you wish). But I see what you're saying, I grew up playing soccer. My favorite number is not 10 for nothin' (yes, that 10, the Brazilian legend
).
Byblos I was expecting a volley of abuse you being American n'all!
I won't tarnish Zoe's thread with this kind of chitter chatter but will start one on football (soccer!) in a bit. I'd love to talk to you about the game- not met ONE American who likes "soccer." Sorry for quoting 'soccer' but we really do n ot call it soccer over here; I'm not having a dig at you for using this term. Who's your team? Oh no wait, I'll start a thread.
I need to talk to you about the boy Beckham!

There are [p;enty of students who play and enjoy and love the game (soccer), but it's just not something where the pro teams are followed like Baseball or Football or Basketball.

lol, yeah I watched the french USA game. It seems like it would be a more interesting game to play than watch....very boring. It's saying something when I can get schoolwork done when watching it. But it is pretty neat to see how accurate they can be with the stone (or whatever that's called)
Watching the mens ski cross...that's pretty cool to watch.

lol yeah well we can thank Scotland for curling, Zoe! Yep, I'm singling Scotland out and disassociating myself and the UK at large with this awful spectacle
Perhaps proinsias will come forward and explain himself...
I've got ice hockey on and it's Can vs US - that's gotta be a bit lively huh? Aren't you watching this? I'm not really watching, you understand...?

I'm watching the men's slalom.
Bode Miller just gotthe lead....woo hoo....
Best all time winter Olympic memory in Hockey has to be when USA beat the Soviet team in 1980! Have you seen Miracle? good movie. Although those who did not grow up in the cold war, I think, don't appreciate the history i nthe movie.
