Evidence for God from Science

I'm bummed. The lady called and canceled the interview, since someone she interviewed first already had experience at the type of work for the position. It was an easy position and the lady (a doctor) was interested in me, but that's the way it goes sometimes . . . I need some prayer on this, and I wish more of you could lift me up. I haven't worked in a long time, since I left the work-force to home-school my son. Yet, I'm viewed as overqualified by many. It's odd, since I'm not even up on modern office programs and equipment (except for Word), so I'm under qualified in that way. I will be starting to take some new career classes soon, but I need the time and funds to pay for those too. I need at least a part-time job just to get by. Zak's dad, too, is looking out for himself and Zak just wishes he didn't have to see him much (hardly at all). Thanks.

Prayers sent up for you Vicki. Hope you catch a job break soon. My wife's been looking for a job for over a year now, things are tough out there but hang in there and keep praying and we'll do the same.

Thanks very much you guys, I appreciate it. The one class I wanted to take for office programs is filled already, and the other community colleges nearby don't have the class. Seems kind-of odd! But Microsoft has some sort of online classes too, so I need to do those! What I think may be best, though, is volunteering for an office or two. There are actually medical offices and a city around here that take volunteers so a person can get experience. I just found out about this yesterday, so I'll find out if any will accept me. Byblos, I don't know about your area, but maybe there are things like that that your wife could try too. That's such a bummer, though! I'm sure it's very discouraging. I don't want to get into details on the board, but with certain expenses I have coming up, I am very stressed about not being able to pay rent and all in the not-too-distant future, so yeah--disturbing! Maybe God has been giving me a break in a sense, since there has been much to deal with. It's just hard sometimes, seeing that other people lose their homes and stuff like that; is there some reason why I should be any different? Anyway, my biggest fear is not being able to support myself enough, and not being able to see my son as much because of that. Thanks again.

Please keep Nathaniel and his health/job situation in prayer too, if you can!

Praise God, Nathaniel's insurance has confirmed that they will pay his medical bills.

Now, if I only God will lead me to a job that is good for my family! I appreciate your prayers very much.

Yes!!! God be praised!!!!! I am so glad now because I will not have to worry about this! I Know the Lord will help you my love, He will lead to where He wants you, of this I am sure! After all He lead us to each other!

That's awesome, NAthaniel!! Praises to Him. Have they talked about what medication you will be on? And I will keep praying for a job Vicki...It took me over a year and a half for my position, until then I subbed...ugh, in the trenches...

Thanks very much! BTW, Nathaniel did find out today that he still has quite a bit to pay. He has to pay 20% of all the bills, which he didn't really know about before. So, it's still difficult, but lots better than paying it all!!!

I never taught and don't have a credential for it, so . . . Around here, there are actually a lot of tutoring jobs.

Still need prayer, but I wanted to let other people know in case they missed it (like I did at first) - careerbuilder.com has online classes for a pretty good price! I canceled the college class after finding out they didn't provide the program(s) and I would've had to spend extra on a book (and take more classes!). At careerbuilder, you can learn the office programs and quick books, and others, and print out reference pages you need, too.

I know it's hard but it will happen. Of this I have no doubt. It's just a matter of being patient and positive, even through all the knocks.
