Evidence for God from Science

Now I'll give one scientific effort that I don't put a lot of stock into one way or another- studies on faith, healing, and (intercessory) prayer. I think that the vast majority of studies on prayer are tremendously flawed for multiple reasons. On the main site Rich comments on some problems with a study on intercessory prayer that has become a little infamous being cited by some big name skeptics. There are other problems that I have with them, one kind of obvious example is that God could choose not to heal someone. Or it could be argued that most experiments are based off a misunderstanding of prayer (I think that's most definitely the case for at least some studies). And then there's people "outside the study" that could be praying without the researchers being aware of it, this stuff really casts doubt as to the validity of almost any study on intercessory prayer that I can think of. There also could be false positive results as well obviously, for more different reasons.

With all that said, here's an interesting link to 25 studies on faith, prayer, and healing. 19 studies showed a link between faith, prayer, healing, and long life. 6 studies showed no (or in one or two cases even a negative) correlation.

The issue is that, for the skeptic no proof is enough and for the believer, no proof is needed.
Outside of the miracle of the resurrection, I personally don't need ANY other.
But to each their own of course.

I don't need any specific miracle claim, but I find them interesting. If someone feels that God is moving in their life I find it exciting and want to hear about it.

One more thing I should bring up related to the definition of a miracle. I have a feeling that some would think that a miracle being "supernatural intervention" is wrong. A Thomist, for example, might not think that supernatural and natural should be so easily separated and is really just adopting a materialistic, naturalist view of the world. That could invalidate the entire approach on some studies on miracles.
