Why would anyone have a problem with having a public holiday? :mrgreen:
We have St. Patricks Day, as a celebration of a Catholic saint. And, like Santa Claus brings gifts, St. Patrick brings green beer and corned beef & cabbage. ;)

True, true. Even those who usually object to Christianity being allegedly shoved down their throats, have nothing against a Christian holiday. :D
