Evidence for God from Science

No one killed Jesus. Jesus gave His life. (Matthew 26:52-54)

It was Jesus' cup to drink, since everything that was created was created by Him. (John 1:1-3)

Given humanity revolted against God, it was only a cup that Jesus as the Creator could drink -- suffering at the hands of His creation in order to make amends with both us and God. Such that, if there is anything you suffer in life, hate in life, find evil or do not understand, know that Christ Himself thought the reason/s for tolerating such were worth it by placing Himself within the grasp of such evil.

Just as many will say Christ died for our sins, another aspect of Christ's crucifixion I believe is Jesus seeking our understanding... even our subjective forgiveness for any hurt in His creation even if objectively He is blameless and did nothing wrong. Such that He gives Himself over to humanity and allows us do our worst in response to having created us.

But, that is Christian theology, and I'm not sure how interested you'd be in that.

No the Romans didn't kill Jesus. The Jews did. The Jews clamored for his death. The Romans being the ruler merely carried out the wishes of the people, namely the Jews.

You are both wrong: Jn 10:17, 18, Jn 15:13, Gal 1:4, Eph 5:2, Tit 2:14, 1Jn 3:16. All these - and others - show that Jesus laid down his own life. The Romans and the Jews were - to use a modern idiom - just pawns.

Would you like me to point out the OT passages that show that God planned to offer his Son as expiation for our sins? or would you like to find them on your own?
