Hey, Seraph, what about the soundtracks for Front Mission (which is turn-based strategy) and Chrono Trigger?

And, regarding Platformers, what about the soundtracks for various MegaMan games, Castlevania games, X-Men Mutant Apocalypse, Ninja Gaiden, Journey to Silius, Batman (the one by Sunsoft), the Contra series, the Metroid series?

Also, in terms of fighting games: Gundam Wing: Endless Duel, Street Fighter II, the Guilty Gear franchise, the VS Capcom franchise, and others?

Haven't heard the soundtracks of most of those sadly, though I know a couple songs from Chrono Trigger. RPGs can be so time consuming so theyre like a kind of rare indulgence, haha. Right now I'm playing through Final Fantasy 8 and I beat Final Fantasy 7 last year.

For platformers, I loooove the music in the Mega Man/Mega Man X games. :)
The music of Sonic games, particularly Sonic 3 with its Michael Jackson influenced music and Sonic Adventure 1, are awesome as well.

Well, many Capcom games have such awesome soundtracks. Tecmo also did a nice job with the Ninja Gaiden soundtrack. Also, Sunsoft had a very unique musical style on the NES, which can be heard in the soundtracks for Journey to Silius and Batman. Konami also has some pretty good soundtracks as well.

As for Guilty Gear, that franchise is done by Arc System Works, and much of the character designs, story/setting concepts, and music compositions are handled by Daisuke Ishiwatari. (Worth noting, though, is that some of the character designs can be extremely silly. By the way, in case you're wondering, Justice is female. And Bridget is an internet meme.)

In terms of video games, here are some composers that hold a very special place in my heart: Jesper Kyd, Michael Giacchino, Jeff van Dyck, Christopher Lennertz, David Bergeaud, NS Graeme Norgate. There are many more, but let's keep this short of an essay.
