Ahh, so there are other ways we can see and detect things even if we don't see such for what it is.Storyteller wrote:it said plug in not supported
I knew there was some relevance to all this side chatter.

Re: Can Science Discover God?
When did I say that science isn't a "valid pursuit of knowledge"?! The subject here is Can Science Discover God? Modern science will never find God because He simply Is . ( I AM sent Moses to Pharaoh.) And what does the Bible say about whom God reveals Himself to? Find me the verse that says that God will reveal Himself to those that can track Him down through an experiment.Kurieuo wrote:
Does that mean you've just disproven modern science as a valid pursuit of knowledge?
And, what about Moses seeing God?
Do you remember that God is One in 3 Persons? Well, one of these nice Persons pops into our world now and then and He can be seen! Many, many people have seen Him! His name is Jesus and He's your Friend! His Father seems more effaced and He's said several times, "If you see my face, you die."
I prefer strawberries to straw men...

If they had a social gospel in the days of the prodigal son, somebody would have given him a bed and a sandwich and he never would have gone home.

Re: Can Science Discover God?
I voted NO!.I wish I could vote yes but science is secular and will not accept the bible or any holy book in their scientific agenda.I do not see a change, the only way we will realize God's word is being revealed true by scientific discoveries is to keep up with discoveries man makes that confirms more of the bible true and then to teach it.
This is really what has happened the whole time and is nothing new.God is confounding the wise and there have been many times man was teaching one thing and were eventually shown to be wrong, whether it was their wrong interpretation of the bible or even non-belief.Both believers and nonbelievers have been proven wrong, while God's word is confirmed true.It is only as we look back and look at what was believed and taught prior to a discovery that we realized man was wrong while God's word was true the whole time.
This is why I am not dogmatic about my interpretations of the bible, for it is better to "Let God be true and every man a liar."

You did not vote. I'm the only one who has voted No so far. Go back and register your vote.abelcainsbrother wrote:I voted NO!
Another thing: If science discovered* God in the year 2323 - if man is still alive, if woman can survive - then why isn't such a momentous discovery prophecied in the Bible? IT AIN'T THERE! Another reason to vote NO!

Maybe you are thinking of the joke on god when people started breeding.Kurieuo wrote:The Brits stitched it together as a joke and pretended back home they found it in New England.RickD wrote:A-net, you silly twit! A platypus is a freak of evolution.Storyteller wrote:I voted yes too, pretty much for the reasons you stated.
And I`m pretty sure God has a sense of humour too, I mean just look at duck billed platypus!
But, the joke was on them because then it came to life and started breeding!
