What's the purpose of burning something? To destroy it. Why jump to the illogical conclusion that Satan will survive the fire instead of being incinerated? The Bible makes no indication of that.

Eternal damnation...does not sound like simply vanishing. Eternally gone wouldn't be so bad, eternally damned doesn't sound good.

ok voice for some one who isn't supposed to be jokerwittness. you certainly talk like one.
they believe the same thing you do, hell is also referred to as outer darkness, where do you think Jesus is talking about in the "rich man and the beggar." Luke 16:19-31.
Specifically verse 23 where the rich man is cast into hell but also claims to be in agony because of the fire.
One thing you need to remember is that fire is also used to refine.
fire is used figuratively more often than not to describe a method of refining people.

Lazarus and the rich man is a parable, it never happened.

I'm not a JW. And actually, I know a few mainstream Christians who believe that the soul is destroyed and not tortured forever.
