Sorry. Getting in the mood for the new Star Wars movie.

Faith and encouragement are two that immediately come to mind.

Know what?
I am drunk, again
Yet, still, part of me revels in it.
The debauchery, the sin.
I plead,
I cannot help it.
But I choose to do it,
So I can.
Am I flirting with the devil?
Taunting God?
Testing Him.
Yes.
I am me.
Wounded.
But not broken.
Because of Grace,
God.
Do I doubt?
In God?
No.
Never.
Everything else,
Yes.
Christ is my Saviour,
He died for me, personally.
My Lord.
I can drink,
I can flirt with the devil,
He died so I could.
I know I want to quit,
I know its a choice.
Im afraid.
Yet not.
One day,
No big speech.
Just action.
And realization.
Of the true Grace and Mercy of God.
In Christ.
My Lord.
I pray....
Lord, deliver me from Satan.

Blessed are the [a]gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.
Footnotes:
Matthew 5:5 Or humble, meek
Matthew 5:5 A "gentle" or "meek" person is not only gentle in his or her dealings with others (11:29; 21:5; James 3:13Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)). Such a person is unpretentious (1 Pet. 3:4Open in Logos Bible Software (if available), 14-15Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)), self-controlled, and free from malice and vengefulness. This quality looks at a person's dealings with other people. A person might acknowledge his or her spiritual bankruptcy and mourn because of sin, but to respond meekly when other people regard us as sinful is something else. Meekness then is the natural and appropriate expression of genuine humility toward others.

Reminds me of something else someone once said....
Be honest with God and tell him that you like it, if you do.
I think it's really what Paul said..doing what you hate doing. Cos often we actually like doing it - just hate the fact we know it's wrong and the bad concequences it brings.

Batery low..
do I like drinking?
yes, it offers me escape
I smoke too
again, escape
to dream
to think
to ponder
God is with me then, fiercely.
my sheild.
I hate needing it to do that,
but I dont need it
maybe I'll choose freedom
It is so, so hard
yet He forgives me
again and again
and one day...
