Good point FL, I waded through an old book I found in a charity shop last year titled 'The Objective of Morality'. After gaining little, towards the end of the book he brought up religion to note that if religion is taken into account there is little common ground. It's not just a different viewpoint, it's a different picture.

I think you are both doing facile stereotyping, but thats just my take from the other side.

:fainting: Wow! I'm amazed that you and I agree on something!

About you, I know little; I only know what I can glean from what you write.. About atheism, I know much. As I wrote in my PM to you, I was raised an atheist, I was part of an atheist association which met once-a-week to listen to taped lectures by noted atheists. I was a very vocal atheist, and only became a Christian 12 years ago.* The last thing I wanted to become was a Christian...but I'm glad that I accepted the Call because I've never been happier!

Actually, I've only been joy-filled, happy and at peace since having accepted Christ. Be careful, Chinadoll! It could happen to you!

*actually, this happenned in August, 2002

I just knew it!
So obvious when someone was previously Atheist.
Their nonsense still comes through in other ways.
