Ah,
perhaps I could have worded that differently. But people typically have some related interests to the themes and subject matter of godandscience, so it's helpful to gain a bit of perspective on their beliefs - which is what I was looking for. Plus, it may help to encourage them to start a conversation, as we get a lot of people who sign up and say "hello," but apparently forget the name of our site or never bookmark it - so we never hear back.

Hello, Ariel - and welcome to the forum! There is no contradiction between what can be ACCURATELY understood by science and in belief in God.
What part of France are you in?
Tell us about your doubts and struggles with belief.
Thanks, Philip

Hi Philip,
Thank you for your reply.
about your statement about contradiction. Belief in God has always been subjective.
Science is different. The very definition of scientific statement [falsifiable until proven] is different from anyone's belief in God.

Science can only study God's designs and his many fine-tunings across the universe. But as for directly, no - because God is spirit. But His fingerprints, from Scripture and prophecy, history, to the Big Bang - are to be found across the universe - things which CAN be studied. But science can only measure physical things and processes. So, before the Big Bang, science has no clue because no matter or anything physical yet existed - so, science cannot go there. But, in my opinion, the Big Bang event itself is powerful evidence that God exists!
