This doesn't seem like an issue of answering the questions. It's more of a personality issue and should be dealt with as such. Maybe ask him why he insults and asks questions if he's not really even expecting answers. In any case I think it's pointless to try to answer him with his current state of mind. He only hears what he wants to hear anyways and I suppose he doesn't want to even consider that he might be wrong.
