I think however that we as Christians have gone way overboard when it comes to criticizing Israel. It's an easy target and has many foes. How come we never talk about submitting to Israel? Anyone have objections to submitting to Israel? I think I may be one of those dudes... :P

i don't think it has to do with submission to Israel imo its more like submission to the will and plan of God and understanding what that plan means supporting Israel our spiritual brethern and knowing the importance and symbolism behind Israel.

Gman, I think that's the kindest description of an eccentric old bird that I've ever seen. Thanks! ;)

For the record too, I'm not an eschatological Zionist and I don't apologize for that. I just don't accept the platform that it's built upon and how it's applied. That said, I think Israel as a nation may remain a distinct people with a role yet to play and I believe Israel's re-establishment as a nation at this time and in this form"may" be significant, but beyond that, I find the endless speculation and continual changes and modification of current theories and understandings to not be a very productive use of my energy (and that's my personal determination, I'm not judging anyone else.) My focus is on Christ. I seek to know Him better and love HIm more in my daily walk and beyond that everything else is secondary.

I get what you are saying... Yes, we will need to bond with Israel in order to pull this off. Unfortunately the division between Christianity and Judisim is so great. Not the doctrine, the people. Technically the doctrine is identical. The last thing we want to do however is make the division even greater. Therefore we will need to embrace some of secular Zion just like how we embrace secularism here. But yes, I see it as part of G-d's plan also.

I love it when you say "our spiritual brothers". You are absolutely correct... Jews are our brothers, therefore we must find a way to bond with them... Once we get that straight, that should do the trick. Now how do we erase 2 thousand years of stupidity? G-d is going to have to do something big here because this division is still very very strong. I'm not sure if it's even possible to combine the two camps I'm afraid.. :(

The idea here is that when we put our attention to Zion, we are actually putting the focus on Christ and His plan of redeeming the tribes.

Yes... Absolutely correct.. Many people I think are starting to wake up to that. That is, Judaism is our SISTER faith. Jews are actually are brothers. In fact from what I can see now is both Christianity AND Judaism are BOTH partly blind right now. That is, Judaisms rejection of Yeshua (Christ) and Christianities failure to obey Torah, that is the commandments such as following the festivals and other things.

Until these two camps converge, I think we will all be partly blind. When we start bonding more, the more we will see Yeshua in a better light. :P
