Thing is, with pot, for a long while, it is a LOT of fun. It's one big hoot after every toot. You'll feel laid back, relaxed, you'll think the smallest of things are hilarious, and you'll enjoy it so much you'll wish you can spend much of your time stoned. And so you likely will, and in the process waste untold hours and days narcistically puffing your life away. It dulls the senses while also making everything seem, well, just different, airy, a bit surreal, if tranquil. It's so seductive and fun - which is why it is VERY psychologically addicting. Smoke a lot and you'll really put your lungs through a lot. I mean, when you DEEPLY inhale every toke, it's just not good for your lungs. So, why have potential health issues, now or later? Why kill untold hours you'll never get back on being unproductively stoned. It's a great drug for going nowhere fast - actually, rather a slow speed of going nowhere.

Do you Really want it on your conscience that you're responsible for injuring or killing someone. Each person is responsible for their actions -- so Don't take something into your body that renders you irresponsible.
There really is no such a ting as a "harmless" drug and that includes alcohool.
In minimum quanties and moderation it is true that some dugs are good for you ( like marijuana in terms of pain killing and red wine with it's flavanoids, etc).
The reality is that MJ should be a controlled subsatnace like alcohool since, as the repost I posted shows, it typically mimics the effects of alcohool.
Minors should not be allowed to some MJ.

See, MJ is not, TYPICALLY, a mind-altering drug but it is a mood-altering drug.
Yes, some people with addticive personalities should NOT be exposed to any drug at all because they will become addicted.

The reality is that MJ, like any other drug ( including alcohool) CAN cause serious problems in some people.
The issue seems to be that some people do NOT believe that there is ANY danger at all to taking MJ and that is simply incorrect.

I wonder if our stoners bother to think about the profound immorality of what they
are doing.

No. An ironic kind of funny. An avowed atheist wondering about something being immoral. The word immoral connotes evil. And as we all know, atheists don't believe in evil. If anything, it would be a subjective type of evil.

Like I said, funny Audie.

Careful, Audie, you might hurt Ricardo's feelings!

That would be a good start toward recognizing the snappy sarcastic
retorts for what they are, and the exercise of asking some questions.
The kind that one does not necessarily want to answer.

Audie,

As you can see from my last response, I'm not above a little self-deprecating sarcasm. In other words, I'm for an equal opportunity kind of sarcasm.
