Evidence for God from Science

There is, of course, a plausible reason why humans are religious, why they believe that there is something more to life than simply existing.
Because there is.
It is the supreme height of arrogance to assume that we know all there is to know, that because we can't "see" something that it doesn't exist.
I mean, throughout history there were things that people KNEW didn't exist or were impossible and yet, here we are in the 21st century and so many of that has been proven wrong ( flight, space travel, nuclear energy to name just 3).
Can you imagine what the next 2000 years will bring?

I find it kind of passé when people bemoan the purpose of life. Whenever somebody asks me what the purpose of life is, I respond with lightning speed "To form a relationship with God" like you said Rick. A lot of people agree when I put it that way.

That's why I am well pleased to have converted to Christianity during my teens. There exists, at last, a belief system that sufficiently answers life's questions, and not only that, coincides with reality, logic, and every other faculty of thought that makes it nigh-impenetrable.

By doing what is right and just, for God is a God of Order and Love, Love our neighbors and everything God has given to us and we shall 'tis relationship with our Lord.

I should have worded that differently -- how does a person gain a relationship with Him? Meaning - becoming a child of God / son/daughter of God. Salvation.

For instance -- Romans 10:9 - 10 " that is you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 -- the Gospel unto salvation.

Would you agree with That?

I agree, to enter into a relationship with God, you must wholeheartedly accept the Son. Jesus Christ, who died in the cross so the our sins be forgiven so that we can go back home and bask in the glow of our Father, God.

We are like planets, revolving one center, the sun, without it's illuminating light, the world will freeze to death.

Yes -- and as a child of God, through salvation, we Will have the desire to do good things For God.

So -- what Does make people religious / spiritual beings. Why not simply 'beings'.
