Nothing wrong with challenging doctrine...you're just not picking up on the difference between that and simply calling someone by a name you intend to be derogatory.

By all means, challenge my beliefs. But don't do so by ONLY calling me a name. Maybe some substance along with a name would be more acceptable, but I wouldn't hesitate to point out the name-calling anyway along with rebuttal to your points...of which there exist none as of yet.

Are you really that obtuse?

I just told you that I reread the majority of a 28 page thread. The same thread that we discussed your beliefs about the sabbath. That's why I said that I have nothing new to add, that I can presently think of, that I or somebody else has already said in that thread, WHICH YOU DID NOT AGREE WITH!

Am I just talking to myself here? Did you even read anything I've said? Did you read the article that Jac wrote, that I posted a link to?

And FYI, AS I SAID BEFORE, I didn't "just call you a name intending to be offensive". I called you a judaizer, because it's a name that describes your position on the sabbath, that has been discussed to death, in that other thread.
Prove the words you speak...prove that the Sabbath is a Jewish law.

Put up or...

Begin by proving that at creation, there were Jews sitting around listening and observing God's work...

Put up or shut up?

I've been trying to shut up, but I have to keep explaining that to you.

So, now I've officially shut up about this topic.

Goodbye :flush:

Good...so you have no proof for what you claim; That the Sabbath is a law meant only for Jews.

Glad we have established your lack of proof.

What a loss not having Jac around anymore!! It took me a while to get used to him, I thought what a self assured, arrogant, know it all. Then one day I thought geez, remind you of anyone lol. Seriously though great guy, didn’t beat around the bush and stood his ground for what he believed in and a wealth of knowledge!!

Thanks for asking Philip, my Son is doing pretty good. It’s not been an easy path but he’ll be okay. He’s left his Catholic High school and is at a college. It’s a very progressive school and it really suits him. Just today he had an interview and an aptitude test to see if he was eligible for an apprenticeship as an automotive electrician. He passed and they said they were very impressed with his results so they will set him up with the apprenticeship. That’s a massive step towards his future, so we’re very proud of him.
I’ve been teaching him to drive which is scary as hell so I don’t have any nails left but worth it lol.
As far as my injury goes, It’s also been a hard path but a positive one. I’m far from recovered but that ship has sailed and I’m 100% okay with that. I’ve permanently lost most of the strength and rotation of movement in my wrist. Which sounds drastic but it’s not, I’ve learnt to adapt really well. I’m just so happy to have some use and the rest well my left previously quite useless arm/hand has had to step up 😉.
I was prescribed some heavy opiates and lyrica for a time while I was going through intensive physio which served it’s purpose but I kicked that pretty quick and despite my Docs advice I stopped taking all meds and switched to natural medicine, my diet.
Because this is a condition that is hugely related to inflammation I cut all foods that inflame. I had already stopped eating gluten (celiac) years back and meat but I cut out dairy, processed foods so a whole foods plant based diet. I also intermittent fast every day for the benefit of lowering inflammation and that was for me the last piece of my pain struggle. Last week I was told my CRPS is in remission which I already knew. The loss of movement is permanent but I am pain free. Well what I consider pain free, there’s always pain and discomfort but it’s so minimal compared to the intensity of what it was that I’m calling it pain free! To reach these results in 12 months is not usual.
Last and not least it’s been faith. This condition for many is debilitating, it spreads and is life-long. I said from the get go it wasn’t going to beat me and have been stubborn in my approach. As soon as I knew that a small percentage of people recover I said to myself and everyone that I would be one of those people. And I believed it.
My faith in God gave me belief in myself. He gave me the strength and determination to battle through the pain and Physio, then the disciple to convert my diet for optimal healing.
Gosh I’m sorry, clearly I haven’t learnt to condense a story lol.
I could have just said there’s been some hurdles but we’re doing okay 😊

Ohh and I had been fundraising for 2 1/2 years for my daughter to dance at Disneyland, Universal studios and Hollywood so I had to be A okay. We got back 2 weeks ago and we had an amazing time!! We also spent a week in New York. It was the best holiday I’ve ever had so I guess America isn’t so bad after all 😉.

Mel, that's so great that you are mostly pain free. When I first got late-stage Lyme disease, I was told by so many that I'd probably have it my whole life and that I might as well get used to living in physical misery. Like you, I refused to buy into it. I thought, God has control - and if he wants me to heal - I WILL. And so He and I did! So, I just remained in constant prayer, quit listening to all the pessimistic talk. I knew my story didn't have to be a typical one. But that first 18 months were horrible - I just hurt all over. Had a fever every day. But boy did God teach me a lot during that long ordeal. And fortunately, I just focused on school - I had gone back to the university and still had a year to go to finish my journalism degree. So, I can identify with how wonderful it is to have regained so much of your life back. And fantastic about your son's internship - which is probably one of the best things I ever did as well.

Wow, Phil that’s great you overcome so much and stayed positive! I agree I’ve learnt a lot over the last 12 months. I’ve dealt with a lot of emotional pain but overcoming physical challenges I’ve not had to deal with. It was confronting, more so in some ways. I’ve now been classed with a disability which feels fraudulent compared to so many. But it’s only in title, my hubby earns too much for any payment.
I always wanted to be a journalist, is that what you do now?

Mel: always wanted to be a journalist, is that what you do now?
I started out as a magazine editor and public affairs specialist. I later moved into advertising and marketing in a variety of industries - I did marketing for a large museum, many years in commercial real estate, investments, and now, it appears, insurance. Unless one moves into a very large market (NY, LA, Atlanta, etc.) they will starve as a journalist - as print has died off, that industry has crumbled. LOL, I don't know what I want to be when I FINALLY grow up! :P

Haha I always say that too!! I’ve haven’t decided what I want to be when I grow up.
Gosh you’ve really tried your hand at many different avenues. I think you’ll be okay when you do ‘grow up’ because you’ve lots of diversity and ‘experience’ 😉

Mel,
you are my hero.
Succeeded to switch to whole food , plant based diet.
I hope your body will heal even more.
On such diet, many people heal from cancer and other diseases.
We just put too much garbage in our bodies while deprived of vitamins.

Am glad you do better.
