Some people look at moral laws as something which they should be able to view as being totally separate and unnecessary for whatever they may want out of life.

They put moral law as a religious option, if not a total bane.

But moral or spiritual law is not distinct from physical law, as far as God is concerned, and as far as creation is concerned.

For example the law which is supposed to protect life is - "thou shalt not kill."
Which defines a physical situation, and yet it is a spiritual or moral law
.
"thou shalt not bear false witness" is a law on sound, actions, vision etc these are real events - physical circumstances, and yet again a spiritual law.

If a person wants to separate moral law from the physical world, they are living in another world altogether, a place where, if you get shot in the head at point blank range, you can still keep walking around and talking.

A classic example of moral free citizens, is promiscuity, they think that there are no consequences to anyone, not even themselves. But just because they don't perceive any consequences does not mean there aren't any.

So the physical world is proof that there are moral laws, and society is also proof that people can be in denial of those laws.
But the absence of recognition does not eliminate them, neither physically or spiritually.

So the definition of good and bad is about functionality, appropriateness, balance, harmony, predictability, reliability, and so on.
The reason God called His creation good, is because it is essentially dependent on His prevailing existence, which is good.

Creation proves that God is, and that good is, it really is not an option to choose otherwise, unless denial is not just a river in Egypt.
