Sounds like you are making the same point I did; someone can choose not to believe by refusing to see evidence that supports the opposing position. But once they allow themselves to see the evidence, if they find the evidence convincing, they will have no choice but to believe. The heart is extremely important. If someone is closed to evidence, or their heart is anti the truth of something, they don't want to hear it or the like, then they'll follow their heart. That happens on both sides, with all people.

Earlier if I recall correctly you said your ability to choose what you believe is limited to your belief in God, that it does not apply to politics, health, etc. Now you say you could just as easily choose to become atheist as you have chosen to be christian.
