I was. But my agreeing with Philip had nothing to do with your post. I was just agreeing with Philip's post.

They go clamming with Jacob's bosom, in Parricide.
This is true. Godly unbeleevers hoove done good things on Earth go to Parricide when their dead. but they only stay in Parricide untill their reincarnated. God is a god of forgivniss and he gives godly unbeleevers a seckind chance. God doesint want to see godly unbeleevers go to Hull.

AreEl -- your spelling --- sounds like a bit of RCC beliefs -- Purgatory (Parricide) -- the but reincarnation isn't part of RCC.

And, you're right -- God doesn't want Anyone to go to Hell (Hull) -- He would that Everyone would accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Because Hell is meant Only for Satan, the false prophet and the beast. People only end up in hell because they Don't accept God's gift of salvation.

Scripture tells us that NOW is the time for salvation --once this body dies -- we are in eternity -- No More Chances.

Just re: OSAS, the logical danger is obviously the "No True Scotsman" fallacy.

To avoid such, I feel it just needs to clear defining what an authentic Christian is, rather than merely retorting after the fact that if one "deconverts" from Chrisitanity that they weren't really a really Christian to begin with.

Maybe that's why I confused Crochet's post with Jpbg's - because I'm no true Scotsman? I'm Scots-Irish (you get the stubborn gene with a fondness of whiskey :pound: ).

Scripture says that a person is born physically first or we wouldn't be alive. Then Jesus Christ tells Nicodemus that he has to be 'born-again' but This time of the Spirit. And That is done by believing in your heart that Jesus Christ is God's Son and that He died on the cross and was buried and rose again bodily from the dead. All for Us. To pay the penalty for our sins --the penalty for sinning is physical death -- but the gift of God is eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord. And then confessing outwardly that you have believed inwardly.

At the moment of salvation -- the Holy Spirit comes to indwell the person and stays with the person until he/she is with Jesus Christ for eternity. And That will affect how a person lives.

And if a person does Not have that assurance -- by all means -- talk with God about it -- confess your doubts - everything -- He wants a relationship with us.

I think this is a good point. I guess my answer would be to point to John 3:16.

It's really as simple as that.

Once one believes/trusts in Christ for salvation, one has everlasting life.

Crochet,

If you have been following jpbg33's posts on this forum, then you would appreciate this brilliant imitation of jpbg33, by AreEl. Truly a work of art:

I do not see any way around the fact that if we are saved by faith in Jesus. Then if we stop haveing faith in Jesus. How are we still saved because there is no faith.

Not only that but in the parable of the sower the seeps that fell on stony ground after they sprung up they died.

I can't recall any time in the bible where it says that a Chistian can be dead spiritually.

And when Jesus said they fell away He was referring to there belief.

I believe that if we believe then we are saved

So Philip you keep asking me to show you a verse well this is one. We may not know if someone truly believes or not but Jesus does and He said they believed for a while then fell away(stoped believing).

If you read the BBE bible it says that the seeds in the rocky ground is people who have faith for a time then when testing comes they give up.

What it is talking about they give up. If you can not lose your salvation then it would not make any sense to say they gave up. What is it talking about? They gave up what?

I do not use the BBE bible but I checked 7 different versions of the bible and they all read the same. The BBE bible sound the funniest when applying osas to it though. If it doesn't matter if you stop having faith why would the bible say they gave up.

The whole verse was about them getting saved then referring to that the end of the verse said they gave up.
