acb -- that was a Great link.
"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." (Psalm 19:1)
https://discussions.godandscience.org/
I recited it from memory."What else does this craving, and this helplessness, proclaim but that there was once in man a true happiness, of which all that now remains is the empty print and trace? This he tries in vain to fill with everything around him, seeking in things that are not there the help he cannot find in those that are, though none can help, since this infinite abyss can be filled only with an infinite and immutable object; in other words by God himself"
I was thinking about a saying I heard about all people having a "God shaped vacuum" inside of us. No matter what we try to fill that vacuum with, nothing will fill it because only God fits the "shape" of the empty space.Vergil wrote:Anymore quotes like that, milord?
I think i saw that, the quote was a misheard or misinterpretation of the quote you used, milord.RickD wrote:I was thinking about a saying I heard about all people having a "God shaped vacuum" inside of us. That quote came up while searching for my thoughts.
I wish I could recite quotes like that from memory.
