This is the most beautiful song in the history of music, and it is by Lisa Gerrard- you all know the movie Gladiator, right? Check out this live version...Lisa Gerrard has the voice of an angel. "Now We Are Free"

Translation:
Almighty Freedom
Almighty freer of the soul
Be free
Walk with me
Through the golden fields
So lovely
Lovely

We regret our sins, but...
We sew our own fate and
Under my face I remain feeble
Under my face, I smile

Aaahh)

Even alone/afraid
Under my face I will be waiting

Run with me now soldier of Rome
Run and play in the field with the ponies
Run with me now soldier of Rome
Run and play in the field with the ponies
Run with me now soldier of Rome
Run and play in the field with the ponies
Run with me now soldier of Rome
Run and play in the field with the ponies

Almighty Freedom
Almighty freeer of the soul
Be free
Be free
And imagine
Free with peace at last
It's lovely
It's lovely, this land
No one can believe or understand
How far I came just for my lovely family
I should have been there
with them when the world crashed down
But now they rest with me.

I'll never forget
How I felt that moment
I became free.

I hope I have the correct translation here- I have researched and compared varying sources as there is much confusion and passsionate argument about this phenomenal woman.

What kinds of Christian music is everyone into? Got any favorite worship songs, gospel songs, contemporary Christian songs, etc.?
I like so many different kinds of Christian music that I'm not sure were to start. Hmm...

Christian Rock: The Benjamin Gate
Christian Country: The Rounders
Christian Praise: Maranatha
Christian Messianic: Yochanan Ben Yehuda
Christian 70's: Love Song
Christian Alternative: David Crowder
Christian Reggae: Avion Blackman
Christian Metal: Stryper
Christian Hard Rock: Disciple
Christian Lite Rock: Seven Places
Christian Funk/Rap: Earthsuit
Christian Pop: Sixpence None The Richer
Christian Performance: Jim White
Christian Contemporary: United Live
Christian Hymns: Chuck Smith
Christian Acoustic: Calvary Chapel Saving Grace
Christian Worship: Passion Worship Band

Ha ha this is so much fun! I'm a music nut, keeps me close to Lord. For those of you interested firefighters for Christ has a website were you can download free worship songs or cd's. http://www.ffmp3.com/worship.asp

Making some myself! I will have some coffee with you and listen to some wonderful music and hopefully we can make your head feel better!!!!
Here are the lyrics for Crippling Machine!:
Who taught you these things, wounding crippling,
I'd say that you're an effective machine, you say
that you're clean, but maybe you're the same underneath.

She saw her son off at the train platform,
it was April 24, her hug that day
was not the same as the ones before.

Pre-Chorus:
These fields are haunted by, a thousand men who died,
to stop this Holy War, to stop this Holy War.

Chorus

I could whisper their names, I could shout to the ceiling,
but something has to change, too many people died believing,
that they would see the day, when you're just a pile of gears, harmless after all these years,
Crippling Machine, -chine.

Belgium is cold, but not as cold as an icy stare of self-piety,
that'll shoot down a plane, tear out my tongue, I swear,
blood still speaks. In the silence as they raise the flag,
they shoot the shots, our young hero is dead, lying peacefully,
what he had to do, he already did.

Bridge:
In the aftermath, of motors, extra parts,
someone is going to try to salvage your heart.
But, I don't care, It's your eyes I'll consider,
Burning first, then your fists, your fingers.

Flanders, Belgium has killed a lot of men,
but not as many as your religion.
You're not escaping the chains you force us to wear,
Hate doesn't respect you,
Hate doesn't care,

What exactly do you fight for?
I'll tear you apart, no diplomacy,
I'll make sure I sabotage all circuitry,
till one day, you and I stop this war
I will also post this song on Face Book!!! :D
