FIVE YEARS AGO TODAY… Al Gore Predicted the North Pole Will Be Ice Free in 5 Years
Posted by Jim Hoft on Friday, December 13, 2013, 5:09 PM
FIVE YEARS AGO TODAY—
Al Gore predicted the North Polar Ice Cap would be completely ice free in five years. Gore made the prediction to a German audience in 2008. He told them that “the entire North ‘polarized’ cap will disappear in 5 years.”
...
This wasn’t the only time Gore made his ice-free prediction. Gore’s been predicting this since 2007. That means that this year the North Pole should be completely melted by now.
Jim Hoft's blog post includes videos of AlGore's predictions ... don't miss the final sentence (before the Update). But being a Warmista making stupid predictions means never having to say, "I was wrong," or make one less trip to the bank to deposit an honorarium check.

****edit. Pete, I think this is the link you were shooting for:

Conservatives have it easy - any 12-year-old can make up a smart-ass nickname for the opposition, simplify a complex issue into a series of dumbed-down talking points and nasty one-liners, cherry-pick data that supports their view and ignore anything that doesn't, and ridicule anyone who disagrees with them. The article in the OP is a perfect example. Unfortunately for all of us, no amount of disinformation or gloating changes the fact that there's still a ton of data supporting man-made global warming. Oh well.

Can a banned member come back or are they gone forever? I sort-of liked SkepticalSkeeter. He isn't a personable atheist like Thadeyus but he isn't a total wretch either.

FL :-?

I'm glad I got my driving licence last year, but I do miss the moral traction I gained with every push of my bicycle pedals over the last few decades.

A Prius! Wow! The minerals for the batteries are mined in Canada, then shipped to Norway where the batteries are assembled. The microprocessors are made in Finland, then all this stuff is shipped to Japan where the car is assembled, then the Prius is shipped to Florida where you bought it. In 10-12 years, all the Prius' batteries will need replacing and the old batteries will pollute the earth incredibly!

Wonderful! You really are doing your part for Global Warming! I should get my palm trees soon! Thanks!

No, no, no! My Prius has been converted to run on household trash. AND, the battery that was in the Prius is now running all the power in my house!
Global warming is a very important issue to me. I'm just doing my part.

Congratulations for your driver's licence! Think of the satisfaction you'll get when you see the bleak Scottish landscape transformed into a tropical paradise through Global Warming!
