Kids who can access their parents firearms go to the shops demanding kandy.
Actually, kids who can access their parents alcohol, and guns, go to the shops and steal lolly boogers. That kid was stinking drunk. I blame the alcohol. Should we ban alcohol now too?
Kids accidentally shoot themselves, their parents and siblings playing around with a gun they can access.
People go shooting other people, including kids in schools.
You know examples of kids who take their parents guns, and go shooting up schools?
In the bigger picture,
if guns weren't a constitutional right and everyone didn't have them,
then there would be much fewer deaths.
First, it's a right to have a gun. But, not everybody has one.
And second, there'd be the same amount of deaths, whether people had guns or not. K, I'm not sure if you're aware, but everybody dies.
What would have protected that girl just as equally is having a baby sitter.
A more responsible parent. While it was great she was able to defend herself alone at home at such a young age, and great that her Mum left a gun around that she could access, did noone ask other alarming questions?
Ok. So what about when the girl is 16, or whatever age she's old enough to be home alone? Then what? No gun then, too? The guy was found guilty of abducting a 17 year old girl. There comes a time, especially in single parent homes, when a child will be home alone. What then?
BUT, it was good in this instance she could access a gun and shoot the guy.
I'd be surprised if there were not valid instances, but nonetheless in the bigger picture thousands are dying...
It is awful. But what is the alternative? Have thousands of victims dying, because they have no legal way to defend themselves?
