Hi Audie,

Of course I have thought about / observed Christians and Christianity far longer than a day
or two! In response to your specific question, I could not think of any reason at all that I would want to be Christian.

Not that I could just decide to believe something that I don't, in any case.

I wonder why you asked the question?

Heya Audie - welcome back. ;)

It's an interesting question Nessa, for me to even answer as a Christian.

Does one need to be attracted to Christianity to believe?
Is Christianity just one of many options on a table of worldviews that one just decides to taste and eat?
Question makes me think of many out there who believe stuff based upon a matter of personal taste.

If I look at the churches, some later history, and the Christian sentiments in society, then there doesn't seem much to be attracted to. So even as a Christian, I doubt I'd be very much attracted to Christianity in and of itself.

BUT, I am attracted to certain people who have been Christian throughout history and in life.
Not to mention who Christ is and represents. Admire what they did for others and the like.
And I've come to believe Christ did represent the truth.

I like to ask questions, that no one else might think to ask.
I'm also interested in what people think.

Especially atheists, cos christians get rather boring ;) kidding!!
Im Interested in both and find both really interesting

Hi Krink

Your comments about attraction and right on. Its like, I am attracted to
some lifestyle, oh put on a hat now I am a cowgirl.

Being a Christian as per try to follow all the bible says, thats a rocky road.

Not that I am one to back away from a challenge.

By far most Christians I encounter, no way I want to be anything like them.
Nominal Christians, I properly should say.
But then I dont want to "be like" anyone but myself.

Of course I've met Christians who are most admirable, but also Jewish people,a Moslim,
divers atheists, etc.

If I were to believe that Jesus is / was as Christians think, I would not
be "attracted" to the faith. Wrong word. He would become central to all aspects of my life.
