Extenuating circumstances is not about any of that stuff, extenuating circumstances is about other things that are to be considered before judging. Are you defining Objective as “everybody agrees”? There was a time in history when everybody agreed that the Earth was the center of the Universe and that the Sun traveled around the Earth.
